Welcome to Reading Intervention. I will be your child's intervention specialist for their time in interventions. Response to Intervention (RtI) is a multi-tiered system where academic interventions are put in place for those students who are at risk for falling behind. RtI uses research-based materials and methods to close gaps and help the child reach the level they need to be on to excel in the classroom. Some of the materials we will be working with during interventions are: Study Island, FCRR (Florida Center for Reading Research), and HELPS (Helping Early Literact with Practice Strategies). During your child's time in interventions they will be given progress moinitoring assessments to track how much progress they are making in their program and to assess if any changes need to be made.
